Dutch house welcomes artists from the UK to exhibit work in our gardens.
Now based back in York after having lived in New York and London for some time, Richard Mackness has shown his sculptures extensively around the UK, in Europe and the U.S.A., including at the Whitechapel Gallery London, Aldeburgh Festival, Ikon Gallery Birmingham, Lehmbruck museum Duisburg and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
Amy Daniels – “I was lucky enough to exhibit as part of the Setting Out exhibition at Contemporary Ceramics London, and to be awarded the opportunity to take part in a residency at The International Ceramics Research Centre in Denmark, early on in my career. These were both invaluable in terms of both placing myself within, as well as learning a huge amount about the world of Ceramic Art. As part of the Setting Out exhibition I was awarded a research grant to study the Terracotta Horses of Tamil Nadu in India, and this really has been one of the high points of my career to date.”
Keep your eyes open around the gardens for some wonderful work.
